STILLWATER — Oklahoma State signee Cade Cunningham is a finalist to be named the nation’s top high school boys basketball player.
Cunningham is 1 of 5 finalists for the Naismith High School Trophy, it was announced Thursday. The winner of the award will be announced March 10.
A five-star, 6-foot-7 point guard from Montverde Academy (Florida), Cunningham is regarded as the nation’s top 2020 recruit by ESPN.com, Rivals.com and 247Sports.com. He’s also the top player in USA Today’s Chosen 25 rankings.
Cunningham, an Arlington, Texas, native, is a McDonald’s All-American selection and is already projected by ESPN.
