STILLWATER — Brett Standlee has found a sense of comfort in Oklahoma State’s weekend pitching rotation.
The redshirt freshman from Jenks has made four straight Sunday starts and will anchor the rotation in the three-game series against visiting Texas, set to begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
While Standlee’s first couple of weekend starts weren’t up to his standards, he has provided a pair of quality performances the last two weeks — even if the final result doesn’t show it.
He allowed one run on four hits in six innings against West Virginia two weeks ago, though the Cowboys couldn’t hold onto a 2-1 lead.
