It’s been a windy past few days in Oklahoma, but the Cowboys created their own wind in Nashville on Friday.
The Oklahoma State baseball team lost its season-opener to Vanderbilt 3-0 in a game the Cowboys struck out 18 times in. Five Cowboys struck out twice, and two Cowboys struck out three times. Every OSU starter had at least one strikeout.
OSU starting pitcher Justin Campbell, a preseason All-American, tried to keep pace with the strikeout fest. In four innings, he struck out eight Commodores.
Vanderbilt got the scoring started in the third inning when Jack Bugler singled to left-center and Enrique Bradfield scored from third.
