OSU athletics: Trey Reeves, Mackenzie Thomas earn Big 12 postgraduate scholarships

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State men’s basketball player Trey Reeves and Cowgirls softball player Mackenzie Thomas were selected as recipients of the Dr. Prentice Gautt Postgraduate Scholarship.

The Big 12 announced Monday that 20 athletes from across the conference received the scholarship, which is awarded annually in honor of the late Gautt, a former Big 12 Conference staff member and student services’ pioneer.

Recipients must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.200 on a 4.000 scale and participated in at least two years of intercollegiate athletics. The student-athletes must also graduate from their respective member school and enroll in a graduate or professional school of their choice within 15 months of selection for the scholarship.
