Oklahoma State wrestling: Dean Heil announces move to Navy-Marine Corps RTC

Dean Heil, a two-time NCAA wrestling champion and three-time All-American at Oklahoma State, announced Tuesday that he is making a move to Annapolis, Maryland, to join Navy-Marine Corps Regional Training Center.

“I’m thankful for this opportunity the Navy-Marine Corps RTC has given me and I look forward to this next step of my journey,” the Brunswick, Ohio native said in a statement. “I am excited to get to Annapolis and get to work.”

Heil, who trained as a member of Buies Creek RTC and Oklahoma RTC, will be following Cary Kolat to Navy. Heil served as a volunteer assistant coach and director of wrestling operations on Kolat’s staff at Campbell, where he was able to work with his younger brother, Josh.
