The hunt for a signal-caller in the 2019 class continues. After a flirtation with Grant Gunnell and a short chase with the likes of Graham Mertz, Grant Tisdale, Bo Nix and several others, the OSU staff has made its way to Georgia with a new offer to Zach Calzada.
Calzada is a 6-foot-3 pro-style prospect from Buford, Georgia, whose stock has absolutely exploded of late. He boasts 35 scholarship offers, and eleven have come in the month of May alone. NC State, Minnesota, North Carolina, Mizzou and Vandy are the biggest ones worth noting.
Perhaps it’s coincidence (or maybe not) that SB Nation ran a story at the end of April on Calzada, labeling him one of the 2019’s best sleeper QB recruits.
