It was announced on Wednesday that Oklahoma State kicker Matt Ammendola has been named to the Lou Groza Award watch list.
The Lou Groza Award is given to college football’s best kicker. Baylor’s Connor Martin and Oklahoma’s Austin Seibert join Ammendola on the list from the Big 12. Last year’s winner Matt Guy from Utah also makes the list.
Ammendola is coming off a 2017 season where he made 23 of 29 field goal attempts and had a season long 52-yard field goal.
Ammendola joins a group of some great Oklahoma State kickers. Former Oklahoma State kicker Ben Grogan was named to the watch list in 2016 and Dallas Cowboys kicker, Dan Bailey won the award in 2010.
