The Yankees could turn to former Oklahoma State pitcher Tyler Lyons in the American League Championship Series against the Astros after New York included him on their roster for the series Saturday.
The 31-year-old Lyons recorded a 10-pitch eighth inning in New York’s 8-2 blowout win in Game 2 of the AL Division Series against the Twins a week ago. The left-hander struck out two batters on six consecutive pitches then forced a deep flyball to left field.
The Yankees will face the Astros in the ALCS for the second time in three years.
