Oklahoma State hires J.W. Walsh as Offensive Quality Control Coach

Former Oklahoma State quarterback J.W. Walsh is coming home to Stillwater, Oklahoma after a brief stint on the 40 acres with the University of Texas.

Robert Allen was the first to report the Cowboys hiring of Walsh as an offensive quality control coach. The former Cowboy served a similar role as an offensive analyst at Texas for one season under former OSU offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich.

Yurcich has since moved on to Penn State to serve in the same role as he did at OSU, Ohio State and Texas. The shake up in coaching staff comes following Tom Herman’s departure from UT and the hiring of Steve Sarkisian.
