STILLWATER — When former Oklahoma State quarterback J.W. Walsh became available as a graduate assistant last winter, it wasn't long before he joined forces with the former Cowboy assistant who first recruited Walsh to Stillwater.
Learning under TCU offensive coordinator Doug Meacham was simply the right fit.
“That’s the guy that coach Meacham wanted,” TCU coach Gary Patterson said Tuesday during a Big 12 coaches teleconference. “He wanted another guy that knew the system."
After just a few months wearing Horned Frogs purple, it appears Walsh has created a favorable impression on those inside the program.
