John Walsh not only sent his son, J.W., to play football at Oklahoma State, but a variety of other Denton Guyer players became Cowboys, too, as John Walsh built a Texas high school powerhouse program.
But Walsh resigned from Guyer in March, and this week he was announced as the head coach at San Marcos, Texas, between Austin and San Antonio.
“My family and I are extremely excited about our new chapter in the city of San Marcos,” Walsh said in a press release. “I personally am honored to be selected as the new athletic director and head football coach at San Marcos CISD.
