Oklahoma State football defeats UT Martin 27-7 in season opener

Oklahoma State football’s nine-game losing streak is over.

On Thursday, the Cowboys opened their season against UT Martin at Boone Pickens Stadium, defeating the Skyhawks 27-7. It was OSU’s first win since Sept. 14, 2024, when the Cowboys defeated Tulsa 45-10 last season.

Hauss Hejny was behind center for the Cowboys’ first three offensive drives and went 5-of-10 passing for 96 yards and a touchdown. He carried the ball four times for 27 yards and scored a rushing touchdown, too.

But after playing three series, Hejny headed to the locker room and was ruled out for the remainder of the game with “lower extremities,” Robert Allen on the Cowboy Radio Network said.
