Oklahoma State defeats Kansas, captures first ranked win in nearly a year

Oklahoma State defeated Kansas 39-32 for its first ranked win in nearly a year.

Oklahoma State turned back the clock Saturday afternoon.

The Cowboys (4-2, 2-1 Big 12), which entered the contest as the 89th-ranked total offense in the FBS, played like an early 2010’s Big 12 team, ending the game with 554 total yards in a 39-32 victory.

OSU’s victory against 23rd-ranked Kansas (5-2, 2-2 Big 12) is its first ranked win since Homecoming against Texas last October.

Quarterback Alan Bowman (28-41, 336 yards and two touchdowns ) and running back Ollie Gordon II (284 total yards and two touchdowns) led the way, for the Cowboys had 224 yards in the first quarter and led 17-7.
