Energy FC announced Tuesday that it is not extending the contract with head coach Steve Cooke for a third season.
Energy FC finished 15th in the 18-team Western Conference of the USL Championship with a 9-14-11 record. The club was 0-6-2 in its last eight matches, including losing the last four of the season, ending any chance of Energy FC making the playoffs.
Cooke came to Oklahoma City two years ago after coaching the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer for eight seasons.
