Oklahoma State University and former offensive line coach Joe Wickline will be heading to trial in the fall as the ongoing legal dispute between both parties continues. Brian Davis of the Austin American-Statesman reported that a judge has set a “pretrial conference” for October 23.
Wickline is currently the offensive line coach at Texas, having been hired there back in January, and the dispute comes from Oklahoma State accusing him of breach of contract. The university claims that its deal with Wickline stated that unless he left for an offensive coordinator’s job with play-calling duties or for an NFL position, he would have to pay the balance of his contract.
