Shea Coats has pitched lights-out during Oklahoma State’s recent home matchups.
During the Cowgirls’ 21-2 win against Evansville on Tuesday at Cowgirl Stadium, Coats struck out eight batters in five innings. In her past two outings, she has struck out 17 batters with no walks, winning both appearances.
The senior from Tuttle has pitched the best back-to-back performances OSU (13-9) coach Kenny Gajewski said he’s seen since arriving in Stillwater.
“That’s something that we haven’t had in my time here, so that’s exciting,” Gajewski said. “I think she’s starting to feel good about herself.”
Coats said her confidence is growing and can only go up from here.
