Michael Neustifter, a junior infielder, is transferring from the Oklahoma State baseball team, an OSU media relations coordinator confirmed Monday.
Neustifter, from Carrollton, Texas, also announced the news Sunday night on Instagram.
The Cowboys' roster listed Neustifter as a first baseman and a third baseman, but he settled into a regular role at third during the 2018 season. As a sophomore, Neustifter batted .299 with four home runs and 35 RBIs.
Neustifter would have likely had the opportunity to play in the Cowboys' O'Brate Stadium, set to open in 2020, during his senior year.
