Mike Gundy remained optimistic on his team during his weekly radio show ahead of OSU's Big-12 opener at Iowa State on Saturday, after the Cowboys lost 33-7 against South Alabama.

“I felt better, believe it or not, as bad as I felt after watching the game tape, which is not uncommon. When you don't play well, and you get outcoached and get outexecuted, it's really hard to deal with.
"Like I've always said, if you beat me, then you beat me. And (South Alabama) is a good football team.
