Mike Gundy has his prized running back in Ollie Gordon heading into the 2024 season.
That didn’t hinder the Oklahoma State coach from pursuing a complementary option out of the transfer portal, though. Gundy reeled in senior running back AJ Green.
Green, a transfer from Arkansas, spent the past three seasons as a backup for the Razorbacks. Still, his physicality, experience and football I.Q. made him an intriguing option for Gundy when searching for feasible secondary options to starter Ollie Gordon.
Now, the hope is for Green’s experience to allow Gordon to take a less stressful role heading into his junior season.
