Jurence Mendoza stepped on the court with a tennis racquet and an optimistic outlook.
Mendoza justified this confidence with victories that contributed to the Oklahoma State men’s tennis team’s dominant performance in a 4-0 shutout against Wichita State on Thursday evening at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
“I hit this morning for 20 minutes with Coach, and I feel like it’s gonna be a good day,” Mendoza said.

Mendoza channeled his positive energy to defeat Wichita State’s Jan Poboril in a 6-2, 6-3 match. The Cowboy junior flew past Poboril in three straight games to begin the match.
