Coach Greg Robertson and assistant Maddi Swaney sat down prepared for post tournament meetings following the Match in the Desert in Gold Canyon, Arizona.
Caley McGinty came in for her meeting.
The news that was shared shocked the OSU coaches.
McGinty told the coaches she wasn’t sure how much she loved golf anymore. McGinty, a transfer from Kent State, left the program after five tournaments. She is taking online classes the remainder of the semester at OSU.
“It was a surprise to us and I think everybody on the team,” Robertson said.
