Cowgirl senior defender Kim Rodriguez has been named to a watchlist for women’s college soccer’s highest award.
The Hermann Trophy is women’s soccer’s equivalent of college football’s Heisman Trophy and is presented to the national player of the year. The award is annually voted on by Division I soccer coaches.

Rodriguez has had a remarkable week. On Tuesday, she was named to the Mexican Women’s National soccer team, and now she receives some domestic recognition.
Rodriguez is a three-time all-conference performer and helped lead the Cowgirls to a 6-2-1 record in the fall season.
