Jordan Williams bounces back; Plott falls short of top-ranked bid as Cowboys beat UNI

John Smith gazed at the stat sheet.

He analyzed the box score carefully moments after Oklahoma State’s 22-12 win against No. 22 Northern Iowa. Then after a brief pause, the OSU coach spoke bluntly, as he always does.

“We’ll have to have a way better dual than that (to win) tomorrow.”

A bold statement considering his fifth-ranked Cowboys are undefeated through nine duals the first time in two years. However, Smith’s statement held immense merit.

Maybe not so bold considering OSU's dual on Saturday is against No. 4 Iowa State, which just beat No. 18 Oklahoma, 37-4, on Friday.
