Former Cowboy, and Olympic Silver Medalist, Jamill Kelly has been named the head coach of the Tar Heel Wrestling Club.
Kelly had previously been an assistant on staff at UNC hired in October 2020. Kelly is a 2004 Silver Medalist, a two-time World Team Member, and a four-time member of the U.S. National Team. Like UNC head coach Coleman Scott and fellow assistant coach Gary Wayne Harding, Kelly competed at Oklahoma State, as Kelly was in Stillwater from 1997 to 2000.
Kelly came to UNC from Arizona State, where he was an assistant for two seasons.
