Brandon Garrison instantly impacted the 2023 McDonald’s All-American game.
Garrison, the top player in OSU's incoming recruiting class, started the game for the West team. He used his 6-foot-9 frame to win the opening tip.
The game, an all-star showcase featuring 24 nominees representing high school basketball’s best players, was played at the Toyota Center in Houston and televised on ESPN.
Garrison played well for the West team, scoring 10 points on five-for-five shooting in a 109-106 loss to the East. He started the game and was also on the floor for the final two minutes when the game hung in the balance.
