How OSU's importance of N7 helped Cowgirls get blossoming freshman Stailee Heard

Jacie Hoyt presented the Heard family a focused PowerPoint presentation.

The slides weren’t about Hoyt or about the Cowgirls’ fast-paced offense, selling points in their own right. They were dedicated to the importance the Nike N7 game holds at OSU.

Hoyt, OSU's women's basketball coach, recognized how much the N7 game -- dedicated to recognizing Native American Heritage Month -- meant to Stailee Heard and her family and emphasized how important the game was for the program as well.

The shared importance factored in Heard’s college decision, drawing her to Stillwater where she leads the team in minutes played and averages 14.
