Home runs, Elliott’s composure give Cowboys ninth straight Bedlam victory

TULSA -- With boosted confidence from his teammates' high-octane offense, Jensen Elliott calmly navigated the Oklahoma State defense through the opening game against its biggest rival.

The Cowboy baseball team unleashed its strength with back-to-back-to-back home runs in the first inning against Oklahoma. Elliott, a junior right-handed pitcher, threw a complete game and ensured they didn’t relinquish the momentum.

OSU defeated the Sooners 5-1 to start the Bedlam series Friday night at OneOK Field. The Cowboys (29-16 overall, 10-8 Big 12) extended their winning streak against OU to nine.
