Kendall Rodgers of D1 Baseball is reporting the Big 12 will vote on a third assistant for baseball and softball. While currently they have the ability to have three assistants with two being full-time and one as a volunteer, this proposal would allow a third assistant coach to be full time. Certain coaches are not happy with “no” vote. Athletic Directors also voiced their concerns.
From Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte:
“I was a supporter of the original proposal which included baseball. Softball was something new that we hadn’t really vetted out,” Del Conte said.
