Chris Harris Jr. was scanning the Oklahoma State men’s basketball team’s schedule when one opponent’s name caught his attention.
“Oh, wow,” he said.
The Cowboys had just released the schedule, and Harris Jr. realized he would face Texas A&M. He had been signed to play there before coaching changes shook up his plan. The surprise matchup prompted a quip from one of his teammates.
“I think Isaac (Likekele) was like, ‘Oh yeah, they’re gonna boo you,’” Harris Jr. said. “I was like, ‘I’ve got to get prepared for it now.’”
