Oklahoma State was able to start the women’s basketball season strong Monday night when it took on the New Orleans Pioneers, winning 109-48.
Despite picking up right where they left off last year’s historic season, the game showcased the Cowgirls' new faces for fans in attendance at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Coach Jacie Hoyt and OSU worked in the offseason to load up on experienced talent from the transfer portal. They brought in six players with Division I experience, with a total of 388 games played and 2,937 points split between them all.
One of the new Cowgirls who already made an impact was South Dakota State transfer Haleigh Timmer.
