Oklahoma State guard Tyree Griffin put forth an extra effort Monday in Lawrence, Kansas against the No. 2 team in the nation after injuring his right ankle in the Cowboys' 94-67 loss to the Jayhawks.
The two hugged, and Ford patted his point guard on the back before Griffin took a seat.
There was 2:35 remaining in the game, and Griffin and the Oklahoma State Cowboys were on their way to a 94-67 loss in Allen Fieldhouse to the Kansas Jayhawks.
But Ford was proud of his “warrior”.
Griffin finished the game with a career-high 12 assists.
