STILLWATER – The four days following Brad Underwood’s abrupt departure from Oklahoma State have been mostly quiet in terms of possible successors.
That changed Wednesday, with news that former Cowboys standout Doug Gottlieb will arrive in Stillwater for a formal interview, the first known interview by a candidate. ESPN’s Jeff Goodman first reported the news and a source has confirmed the interview to The Oklahoman.
Gottlieb, 41, openly sought the OSU coaching job last year, after Travis Ford was hired, but did not receive a formal interview as the search of athletic director Mike Holder focused quickly on Underwood.
