Franch, Wolff, Likekele represent OSU on biggest stages

Oklahoma State athletics didn’t field a team, but had a glorious weekend, thanks to a couple of former players and one current athlete performing well against some of the world’s best.

The U.S. women’s soccer team won the World Cup Sunday morning with former Oklahoma State star Adrianna Franch serving as a backup goalkeeper in a 2-0 win over the Netherlands in the final match.

Sunday evening, former OSU golfer Matthew Wolff — playing in just his second PGA Tour event as a professional — won the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in suburban Minneapolis by one stroke when he rolled in an eagle putt off the fringe of the 18th green.
