Four-star prospect Jalen Montonati commits to OSU basketball

Stillwater’s future just got brighter with the commitment of Jalen Montonati, a four-star wing and Oklahoma’s top 2026 prospect.

Montonati, son of former Cowboy Brian Montonati, committed as the program’s first 2026 pledge.

The 6-foot-7 Owasso standout chose OSU over more than 20 schools, including Alabama, Kansas, Michigan and rival Oklahoma.

A two-time Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year, he averaged 23.3 points, six rebounds and three assists as a junior. He enters his senior season with more than 1,500 career points.

Montonati ranks No. 53 nationally and No. 19 among small forwards. He also won gold with USA Basketball’s U16 team His commitment gives head coach Steve Lutz an early building block in the 2026 class.
