Former OSU Running Back Dezmon Jackson Commits to Sam Houston State

Dezmon Jackson has settled on a landing spot, and it’s kinda WAC.

The veteran Cowboy running back will spend his final season of eligibility at Sam Houston State, members of the Western Athletic Conference, according to a pledge he made on Twitter.

Jackson came to OSU by way of Hutchinson Community College in 2019, but injuries hampered his ability to make an immediate impact. In 2020, Jackson was OSU’s second-leading rusher behind Chuba Hubbard, racking up 547 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 5.5 yards per carry.

His career performance came in a win against Texas Tech that season.
