Another North Texas transfer is heading to Oklahoma State.
Former Mean Green running back Caleb Hawkins announced on X on Sunday that he is committed to the Cowboys. Hawkins will join former UNT head coach Eric Morris and quarterback Drew Mestemaker in Stillwater for the 2026 season.
Hawkins leads the country in rushing touchdowns with 25 and has become one of the best running backs in college football. The Shawnee native played a key role in UNT's successful 12-2 season with an appearance in the American Championship and helped win the Isleta New Mexico Bowl over San Diego State with 198 rushing yards and three total touchdowns.
