Five former OSU golfers will comprise the 144-player field this week at the U.S. Open, and three — Rickie Fowler, Matthew Wolff and Viktor Hovland — are paired together for Round 1 on Thursday. The golf gods are the real MVPs of the content game.
Fowler is the betting favorite among the five with 55-1 odds entering the week, while Wolff and Hovland, 21 and 22 years old, respectively, are both 60-1 longshots behind nearly two dozen other golfers in the field.
It should be an exciting opportunity not just for OSU fans to see some of their best golfers rep the brand, but for some of their best golfers to get a hack at the first major championship of the 2020-21 PGA Tour season.
