Rob Walton is putting together a puzzle with missing pieces, and he wants to know what it looks like when it’s whole.
Walton, the Oklahoma State baseball team’s pitching coach, has spent the majority of this season without several of his top arms available to him, as right-handers Trey Cobb and Jensen Elliott and left-hander Parker Scott have been sidelined with injuries in their throwing arms. The ailments have pushed pitchers into roles Walton didn’t have planned for them as the season began. He identified the trio as OSU’s top three pitchers behind Friday starter Tyler Buffett.
“If we were at full tilt, you’re feeling a lot better going in,” Walton said.
