Elliott, Cowboys shut out Wright State in first game of series

Jensen Elliott hadn’t earned a win at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium since the last game before his surgery, but he didn’t focus on that.

In Elliott’s first home start this season, he led OSU to a 4-0 victory against Wright State on Friday afternoon to start a three-game series.

Elliott, a junior right-handed pitcher from Coppell, Texas, advanced to 1-0 with the win. He threw 94 pitches and five strikeouts.

The last time Elliott had a win against an opponent in Stillwater, the Cowboys defeated South Dakota State on March 12, 2017.

“I honestly never thought about it like that,” Elliott said.
