Oklahoma State kept adding run support.
It wasn’t needed.
The Cowgirls beat Wichita State 8-0 on Friday in Stillwater.
OSU’s offense was consistently effective. The No. 10 Cowgirls run-ruled the Shockers and scored in four of the five innings. The Cowgirls had baserunners in every inning.
Regardless of how many runs OSU (18-6) tacked on late, it didn’t matter. Senior pitcher Miranda Elish had things under control.
Elish pitched a no-hitter in the shortened game. She allowed just two walks and flummoxed WSU (16-8) hitters.
