AUSTIN, TEXAS — Amen Ogbongbemiga realized Sam Ehlinger might attempt to baffle the Oklahoma State football team with a trick play.
Ogbongbemiga, a redshirt junior linebacker, said he had seen the sneaky move when he studied Texas. When the Longhorns use it, they do it only one time, likely after crossing the 50-yardline, he said.
Ogbongbemiga was right, but the play still caught the OSU defense off-guard. With strategic game plans and cohesive efforts on offense, Texas defeated the Cowboys 36-30 on Saturday night in Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. This prevented OSU from extending its winning streak in Austin to six.
