Former Oklahoma State player Doug Gottlieb on Friday said on his radio show that he's no longer a candidate for the Cowboys' men's basketball head coaching job.
Gottlieb has worked for ESPN and CBS, and he recently agreed to a deal with Fox. He does not have any college coaching experience, but sources told ESPN earlier this week that athletic director Mike Holder was intrigued by Gottlieb and his potential.
Brad Underwood, who was second to Kansas' Bill Self in Big 12 Coach of the Year voting, left the Cowboys after just one season to become head coach at Illinois.
