Dariya Detkovskaya’s serve was her best pitch, and it was working to perfection. Detkovskaya defeated her opponent, Lian Benedejcic of Tulsa on the back of her most dangerous weapon as the Oklahoma State women’s tennis team took down TU, 6-1.
The best way to measure the effectiveness of Detkovskaya’s serve is to note that Benedejcic never once broke her serve. In the first set, the two battled to a score of 3-3, it was here that there was a slight rules dispute where the umpire ruled a point for Detkovskaya but there was a delay as the two tried to sort things out.
