Daily Bullets (Nov 3) – Chuba Hubbard Adjusting to College Football, Rushing the Field at BPS

Happy Gameday friends, you only get so many of these a year so drink up.

In a fun piece diving into Chuba Hubbard’s history was some compelling reasoning for his redshirt last year (and a pretty funny comment on his hockey career).

…(W)hen he got to OSU, he had to adjust to the differences. The game itself was different, of course, but so was the competition. Hockey is the biggest youth sport in Canada — “I tried it a couple times,” Hubbard said, “but I can’t stop very good” — so even though he played for a top prep program at Bev Facey Community High in the Edmonton suburb of Sherwood Park, he wasn’t regularly facing opponents with the size or the speed that prep players from American high schools often see.
