ST. LOUIS — Oklahoma State senior wrestler Kyle Crutchmer finished his comeback story Saturday morning at Scottrade Center.
Crutchmer’s last NCAA Wrestling Championships mirrored his career as a Cowboy. He had an early setback and had to recover quickly if he didn’t want to go home early. Crutchmer was arrested during his freshman year at OSU. He suffered a season-ending injury last season as a junior. Both times, he came back.
“A comeback story’s always a better story,” Crutchmer said.

It makes for a better tale, but it’s not the easiest. Crutchmer lost his first match of the tournament to unseeded Jake Residori of Southern Illinois Edwardsville, 6-5.
