OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma State Cowgirls will play their first elimination game of the season.
Texas beat No. 7 OSU 5-0 on Monday night at the Women’s College World Series. It sets up a winner-take-all second game between the Big 12 rivals to determine which team will play for a title.
The Cowgirls got down early. Texas logged three of its five hits in the second inning, immediately putting OSU pitcher Morgan Day in a difficult spot. When Courtney Day got up to bat, the Longhorns capitalized.
Courtney Day roped a home run to left-center field that scored three runs.
