While the top two courts battled, the other courts made it look easy.

OSU brought out the brooms once again this weekend in a 4-0 sweep against SEC school South Carolina. Going into the match, the Gamecocks had two of the best singles players in the country in No. 10 Ayana Akli and No. 12 Sarah Hamner. Facing off against these athletes were Cowgirls Kristina Novak and Alana Wolfberg.

The Cowgirls knew defeating these giants would be a tall task, but the team had their own trick up their sleeve. Instead of relying on one key catalyst to keep the team afloat, Young’s squad looked to take the approach that makes college tennis unique to all its other variants.
