Texas Tech’s Felicity Maltby, however, welcomed the swarm of teammates rushing her. Tech fans filled Headington Family Tennis Center with cheers and hoorahs. Maltby and the Red Raiders held off the Cowgirls’ attempt at a comeback to win the Big 12 women’s tennis championship 4-2.
The last day of March, Oklahoma State lost by the same score in Lubbock to Texas Tech. The last day of April, more was on the line, but the results didn’t vary.
“We didn’t play our best tennis today,” OSU coach Chris Young said.
