Cowgirl soccer falls 3-1 to Arizona

The Oklahoma State Cowgirls fell to Arizona, 3–1, in a Big 12 women’s soccer matchup in Tucson on Sunday.

After a tied and scoreless first half, the Wildcats were able to break that at the 62-minute mark when an OSU defensive miscue led to an own goal, giving Arizona a 1–0 lead. Just five minutes later, Mireya Stephenson netted her first collegiate goal to double their score. The Wildcats extended their lead to 3–0 at the 75-minute mark when Marissa Arnst scored her first career goal, assisted by Sami Baytosh.

The Cowgirls continued to put up a fight, and at the 89-minute mark, Sonora De Fini connected on a free kick from Sophie Wilson, avoiding a shutout game with her third goal of the season.
