KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Oklahoma State will be happy not to see Iowa State for a while.
Preferably a long while.
The Cyclones beat OSU for a third time this season Friday, 92-83, ousting the Cowboys from the Big 12 Tournament.
And the theme was all too familiar.
Iowa State made 3-pointers, a lot of 3-pointers, going 12 of 24 from long range. The Cyclones raced to double-digit leads, then turned away Cowboys rallies. And as good as Jawun Evans was, scoring a game-high 29 points, ISU’s Monte Morris was better overall, with 21 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.
